This workaround is for livesupport, is there a workaround for eSupport?

Boomer,

Thank you for the SSL fix. I cannot believe that this isn't included by default. Seems like a likely thing for software that's probably going to be used on a ecommerce site.

When I do this it gives them the some elements on this page are not secure once the chat popup opens.

I edited the window.open area in that same file and it works now.

FWIW, I agree. It's nuts that SupportSuite can't/won't support serving via https, without making it do so /everywhere/.

Like others, I'm using a closed/encoded version, so don't have the luxury of making source changes, and indeed, shouldn't have to.

SSL Login - 07-08-2007, 09:51 AM

I very much agree with this. I personally think that SSL should be the default for all admin and staff pages (at the very least, for the login!) and I would like to see it as an option for all authenticated pages.

Thumbs down Kayako is Lame when it Comes to SSL / HTTPS - 31-10-2007, 02:50 PM

This fix does not work in v3. Kayako needs to do something about this an quick I mean if Boomer can do it why can't the actual makers of the product issue a patch? I don't want to waste any more time on what should be a simple config setting.

I need to be able to run the chat widget from SSL page and not have pop up errors.

Kayako, lets get a move on here there are plenty of users asking for assistance here.

Pathetic ain't it. Worst implementation of a template system I've seen.

Any news on this, I have a site with both http and https pages and need the livesupport V3 to work on both.

We are testing full SSL support on our own desk, and will provide instructions on how to implement it yourself.

We just purchased the hosted version of Supportsuite and cannot understand why https is not available. This now causes popups on pages where we're trying to integrate the livesupport code and links to the support center. I just discussed this with Kayako support and it seems our only solution is to do our own full install on our own server. We are happy with the hosted solution so this seems like a major undertaking just to avoid the popups on our site. Please can someone let me know when HTTPS is available on the hosted Supportsuite?

Hi mrloofer,

We have no plans to implement SSL support on the Kayako hosted services, but will take the suggestion for future consideration. Until then, the only way to offer your support desk via an SSL connection (https) is to host it yourself.

Have you finished testing yet? When the instructions are going to be available?

It's really stupid that this feature is not supported out of the box
