Fogcreeks Co-Pilot looks ok. Though I've not used it I've used other tools theyve produced and always been happy. Its by that guy Joel Spolskys company, he writes the "Joel on Software" blog. The key thing is how they price it...... https://www.copilot.com/ Also the "Secure Meeting" module of Juniper Networks SSL VPNs work well and is the fastest I've seen of all these solutions and means you could host the session in-house, and I think they have an SA200 for only a couple of hundred dollars. I think all the SSL VPNs have something similar. |

It doesn't seem like a small niche market to me as everyone and their brother who runs a help desk on their web site wants to be able to do remote support so they don't have to drive across town or spend 2 hours on the phone with their clients who could even be on the other side of the world. In reality, it seems more like a huge market and a perfect fit to add on to SupportSuite. But then again, look at LiveResponse. It had more features and was quite a bit more client friendly in v2 than it is in v3. Kayako had the fastest LiveResponse program on the market at the time, but once v3 came out, they just haven't done anything to bring it up to the level that v2 was at or enhance the client interface and now it is one of the most feature poor LiveResponse programs available from the client side perspective. Eventually, someone will develop a program that doesn't use VNC and rivals the performance of LogMeIn, GoToAssist, and WebEx. And when they offer it at a decent price that the small business/consultant/web host market can afford, they will take away the market and make a killing. And I'll be right there forking out the dollars to buy it as well... ![]() Eddie Web Site: http://www.netFusionKC.com Web Store: https://www.netfusionkc.com/store/ Anything I say or do is my own opinion and may make absolutely no sense to anyone but me...

I'm probably going with this solution: SimpleHelp | Remote Support Software for a One Time Purchase with No Subscription | Its a one time purchase and it is run on your own server. There is also no need to setup port forwarding or worry about firewall/proxy restrictions. |

I need a web based tool that is cheap. Logmein is just too expensive but is a great solution. Simple-help is a onetime investment and allows you to have unlimited connections and unlimited agents. I'm still testing it so I can't really comment on how good it is.
