Hello, You have 2 options at te moment to select by "Ticket ID Type" on the Admin CP: - Random - Sequential I was thinking of a third option... By submitting a new ticket you have to select a subject before you can enter your message. I use this option for my products. For example: - Product Support - Product Idea - Product Kayako Now if you submit a ticket, it will get an ID. So my intension was: You take for example the first 2 letters from the product (or department) and use that for your ID. So you will get something like: - Ticket ID 1 = SU-1001 (product Support) - Ticket ID 2 = SU-1002 (product Support) - Ticket ID 3 = KA-1001 (product Kayako) ect. Sounds like an good idea? I think it is!  |

That'd require a whole lot of rewiring under the hood, but there is documentary value to such a thing. I'm going to lodge it as a feature request for 4. That doesn't guarantee that it'll go in, but it does mean that the feature will be seriously considered by the engineering staff. -------------------------------------------------------------------
