Lightbulb Languages -> Disable a language - 29-08-2006, 02:18 PM

There should be an option to disable a language, i.e. not have it show up in the language section. I'm sure many other people have added languages to their support site and want to add it to to the language list, but want to do a full translation before it shows up to customers.

Is there any way to do this now? If so, I couldn't find it. It would be a very helpful feature in the future.

You can edit the footer template and remove the code which displays the languages option till you have translated your language pack in full.

Well, that's the thing... I already have English and French versions and want to add additional languages. I don't want to have to replace the automated code - that's why I'm suggesting that, in the future, Kayako allow languages to be private or public.

Thanks for your reply; I've just deleted the languages for the moment.

Hi Mike,
This is purely my suggestion, you can remove the automated language drop down code and manually add your code displaying the two languages. It is quite easy to do that. And once your language pack is ready you can re-add the automated code. Hope this helps
