Lightbulb Autosave feature - 04-12-2006, 08:34 PM

Hello!

I think it would be very nice to have a "Auto Save" feature when typing in a ticket, like gmail and some email systems.

So, when you write every 1 minute it save the content and if the windows crash or the isp goes down or the computer fail or whatever, you then just come back and continue writing, and you lose nothing.

Cool, isn't it ?

just my 2 cents

Interesting! This can be done using AJAX, We are writing a very nice framework for the new ticket locking and can use that to add this feature.

Besides we already have functions for Save as Draft so we will just extend them.

Regards,

That is excellent news! Sometimes I worry when I spend too much time documenting a ticket something might time out....we just implemented this in one of our software projects, and it is very comforting to users!

Automatically Save as Draft - 31-07-2007, 04:59 PM

Maybe would be a good idea if ticket replies were automatically saved as drafts every few minutes just incase your browser or computer crashed. Would be annoying if it was a long reply.

I definately second this request. To add to it, it would be good if it saved to draft when you navigated away from the page for example when you are typing a ticket and click on KB.

A setting to say how many seconds it should wait before saving a newer version too.
