Well I did let Jamie in on how we were going to do it in a piece of software we are creating. Basically, we will have on our site the ability to import an old language file into. It would then allow you to create a language file for a newer version. You simply select the future version you want it for and it will show you the list of new phrases / changed phrases and then when you translate them, it will give you an updated language file to import in. The above system would be perfect for Kayako in my opinion. Nobody wants to re-translate everything. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

It really wouldn't be too hard to implement a simple thing to do this. All that needs to happen is a list of added / changed phrases needs to be kept and those added to the system on a new stable release. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Well I am always looking at Kayako's history for stuff like this. All branch changes (like between 2.x and 2.x, etc) have been mainly bug fixes. Changes have mainly been made between like V1 -> V2 and V2 -> V3. I am hoping a lot will happen in the V3 -> V4 path. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |
