The default install of Kayako return with these result Result: Failed validation, 71 errors This page is not Valid HTML 4.01 Transitional! Could the Kayako development team fix the template markup errors ? it would be nice.. if the default installation index.php pass the above validation Which will solve lots of browser specific odd rendering problems why not xhtml ??? |

Hi there, It shouldn't hurt SEO ratings, as the code is fairly clean but does not validate exactly. This is an issue that will be addresses in Version 4. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone have a valid html/xthml compliant code that they would be willing to share? Heck, id be willing to pay for it. I still cant believe people even code pages with invalid code. Do they just make things up? |

It is simple enough to make the changes to make it validate correctly. Just follow the things shown on the validator. I agree though, Kayako's code should be made compliant. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Well, it does take awhile when you have 94 templates with an average of 200 errors per template. Especially when you have to edit them in poorly designed db versus a file. If i sound grouchy, its because I am because customizing kayako the way i need to is going to put be a week behind when it would normally take me about 2 days to do something like this. I turn down customizing jobs for other people when it comes to kayako and vbulletin because of this "template" in the db design. grrr |

Hi Gateway 5, Yes - this is the case in the UK, and soon the EU. However, the structure (although invalid HTML) of SupportSuite's pages do not prevent the use of screen readers, and text is enlarged gracefully. As such, you shouldn't have a problem in this respect. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there, I am afraid not. However, we will be overhauling the front-end completely in V4. -------------------------------------------------------------------

They will need manually updating due to the amount of changes between V3 and V4 I suspect. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |
