Ticket reply -> Option to include staff signature (check box) - 18-01-2007, 08:38 PM

Just like in vBulletin (Miscellaneous options) when writing this message, there is an option to "Show your signature" which is checked by default if you have a signature specified. There are times when a signature in the staff reply is confusing, i.e. when quoting client replies. You get your reply, the client replies, then your signature below that! Please consider the option to bypass adding a signature on a staff reply.

Interesting, Long time back it was also suggested that there be an option to actually display the signature beforehand in the textarea so that one can edit it before dispatch.

I was thinking of perhaps having a seperate section called 'Edit Signature' which further expands to display a checkbox (Send Signature) and a text area below (for editing the signature being sent).

Opinions?

Varun,

A separate textbox where your signature can be editted and a checkbox to send signature would be great.
It would be better if the signature is added right after your own reply, and not beneath the quoted message.

This way:
typed reply
signature
quoted messages

And not this way:
typed reply
quoted messages
signature

Yeah, that would be fine Varun to allow editing of the signature, but mainly the problem is as I stated that if you use quoted replies you end up with reply, quotes, signature and that looks odd. I also suggested elsewhere that the quoted replies should be in reverse order, i.e. newest to oldest. Now that could either be an option, could use the same settings as we use in viewing tickets as I order mine newest on top, but I want my client seeing their most recent reply first then going back in time.
