How about receiving alerts when a new user registers. I think this could be helpful because for those that have different user groups with an alert we can be instantly notified that someone has registered and then instantly move them to the correct user group. It could also be a good way to track sales if your sales are linked to the number of registered users.

Yes, I think this is a great idea for the same reasons Siora mentions.

Nice feature request. This should be two parts really :-
1. E-Mail Notification (ie part of the alerts section).
2. As Slip7.net suggested, a notification via InstaAlert.

Yes this would be a good feature. Did you mean a notification to staff members.
Also if you are manually verifying a new user you don't receive an email from support suite telling you that a new user needs to be verified.
