Live chat -> Ability to print, e-mail transcript on end etc - 30-09-2006, 05:32 PM

Per Varun's instructions, I'm adding the poll to the forum for staff members to see.

Fly Spray Request: #317.
Request Posted: June 27, 2005.
Subject: Enhance Live Support Client Chat Termination Options.

Details:
Quote:
Would like for the chatting client to have a link or button that allows them to Leave the chat session.

Upon Leaving the chat session, I would like the client to be able to Print, Save, or Email the chat transcript to their email address.

As of the June 26,2005 version, the Staff can end Leave the chat session which forces the client to a "Leave a message" screen.

The client should also be able to Print, Save, or Email the chat transcript to their email address upon the chat session being terminated by the staff member leaving as well.

Please vote if you could use this feature.

Thanks!

Eddie

It might not be too difficult to look at the code from v2 and tailor a bit of it to make it work for v3...

In response to your other post, the same logic applies.

Those sound like they all apply to what the staff member sees. We use SupportSuite to support the client's and make their lives easier, not the staff members.

Right now the client can not do anything useful after their chat, except close the window and lose their chat log. There is no print chat log, no email chat log, no save chat log, no create a ticket with the chat log attached for staff review/use. Nothing useful to help the client...

These are still valid requests that need to be addressed for the end user/client benefit rather than the staff.

Hi Varun and Ryan!

I just installed and am testing the 3.10.00 build that Ryan posted is going to be the stable build. I notice the client chat enhancements to allow the client to print, save, and email the transcript are not included.

What is the status of the client redesign?
