We would also like to see something... At the least, a main schedule to show tickets scheduled and to what staff.

Tie A Ticket To A Task - 29-09-2006, 03:37 AM

1) Be able to click "Create Related Task" that will tie a task to a certain ticket.

Could also be applied to a user basis.

We agree - 05-11-2006, 05:12 PM

We are a hosting company and the users of the system are our clients. It would be good to have contact cards for each of them so that the agent dealing with the ticket can quickly see details such as phone number, the company they belong to, details of their domains etc. We use hsphere for our hosting control so it would be great to pull this info from hsphere and keep hsphere and kayako in sync with one another.

Teamwork -> Better integration throughout i.e. tie task to ticket - 18-05-2007, 08:13 PM

We're looking at possible work queue/helpdesk options and we've come across your product. We like what we see so far, but we have a few concerns.

Another one is, we're currently using "Salesforce" as a task manager (which fails miserably). But one thing we like that it does, it ties a link to each task created. So if you're sent one, it goes to your Outlook and you can click it to bring you to the task.

Does anyone have a solution or any ideas to make this work?

Hi Brett,

I am afraid I do not know of a community released modification that allows for this. However, the feature is in demand so I believe it is viable for inclusion in Version 4 of our product line, so I have moved your thread to the Feature Requests forum.

Thanks,

Tie a task to a ticket - 23-05-2007, 11:17 AM

A lot of tasks are created because of a user request. Make it so that staff users can create a task from individual ticket page.

Yea, this would be a good feature. It should have the option of clicking "Link to Ticket" on a task and add an unlimited amount of links.

Other ideas:

- "Create task from ticket" button

Arrow Teamwork/Tickets -> Tie in teamwork data to tickets - 29-07-2007, 05:11 AM

When my users submit tickets, often I need to call them or see other related info (address, etc). They have filled this out during registration via my custom fields------ why cant I see this easily and conveniently from their tickets?

I have to go to a completely separate screen, look up that user, and find their info that way, then go back to the ticket.

It is not efficient- the data is there, just not in the right places. Can you add the option to display these custom fields next to the user's name (maybe in the popup rollover overlib thing like you do on the ticket previews?)

I have seen this requested in the past but I am casting my vote for this feature! its important!!

You can do this currently by modifying PHP files if you need it urgently. Otherwise I think it was suggested here a while back as something for V4.

are there any samples/examples of which PHP files to modify? I would really appreciate some gentle nudge in the right direction

Sorry, I misunderstood what you wanted first time. Custom fields are supposed to be shown on the general tab of tickets. See the attached screenshot where the Order ID is shown in the orange bit.

I may be off target here, but I think he/she is asking about custom fields from "Teamwork" module.

I hope v4 ties all of a users/companies information together.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.
Cheers!
