System -> Search Engine Optimization friendly URLs - 02-02-2006, 05:53 PM

I purchased version 3 specifically because there is supposed to be an archive feature already available to produce search engine friendly pages for Search Engine Optimization. See this thread by Varun with version 3 information:

Version 3 Information

Note that under the supposedly already available interfaces is listed this:

archive - The Archive Interface for Search Engine friendly data

However, I've been unable to find this interface anywhere in version 3. Has anyone else found it?

I even submitted a ticket to Kayako asking how to find and configure this interface. So far I've been unable to get any helpful information. In fact, the ticket history is laughable, check this out:

First, on January 20th, I submitted a ticket, with the subject "Archive feature - where do I configure it?"

---
In this thread:

Version 3 Information

One of the modules mentioned as existing currently is:

archive - The Archive Interface for Search Engine friendly data

How do I find and configure this module?
---

After no response, four days later on January 24th, I submitted this:

---
Why has there been no response to this ticket???
---

Three days later, on January 27th, Kayako responds:

---
Hi Troy,
Can you please let me know what exactly are you looking for?

Regards,

Hiren Mehta
---

??? What is unclear about my request? I don't know, so I respod with this, on January 31st:

---
It's in the original submission!!! Please re-read the original submission.
---

A couple days later, still no response. I submitted this today, February 2nd:

---
Why is this ticket being ignored? I'm going to have to demand a refund, as this is beyond ridiculous. Your forums indicate there is an archive module for making eSupport Search Engine Optimization friendly, yet I cannot find it, and to add insult to injury, you can't seem to understand my request for information about how to find and configure it!!!

I will try one final time to ask the question with as much detail as possible, so that you cannot possibly misunderstand what I'm lookging for:

First, read this thread in your forums, by Varun, documenting version 3 information:

Version 3 Information

In Varun's post notice this line:

SWIFT is what will allow you, our clients to extend our products to unlimited possibilities, it revolves around different interfaces with the ones currently available include:

That indicates to me that the following list of interfaces is already available!

One of those listed is:

archive - The Archive Interface for Search Engine friendly data

So, my question again is: Where is this Archive Interface, how do I configure and use it?

It's a simple question, really.
---

I don't know what's wrong with Kayako, but I'm fed up with this horrible support. I'm planning to demand a refund.

Good question
Not sure what this function would do though...what will it archive, the knowledgebase? the tickets? News? all of the above?

I wish I could answer that, but since I can't FIND the interface, and Kayako support CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TELL ME whether or not it's even there, I have no idea.

Well, don't get too worked up...Syncworks has never worked either even though it was a big decision point for us. There are lots of things in their sales page which is smoke and mirrors.

They are too busy painting and sanding to acknowledge official shortcomings.

They are, however, getting many of these things done in 3.1, I have been assured. There is no date for this, so I would suggest you get this raised with them via tickets and bug submissions so it gets visibility. I would like my knowledgebase and troubleshooter, etc to have quality Search Engine Optimization capabilities. We have ignored those features at this point since it is as well non-functional.

Core product is good, but so are many others. We bought this for their great add-ons. They are slowing but surely appearing.

Have faith, if you can have patience I am believing it will be rewarded...if your business can handle the long development cycle.

System -> Search Engine Optimization friendly URLs - 26-11-2006, 10:33 AM

I have seen this has been requested quite enough times but none of the kayako staff seems to have responded to a single request.

Can we get Search Engine Optimization friendly urls for knowledgebase articles?

I would definetely like to see Search Engine Optimization url's in the standard product, at least for the knowledge base, if not the whole system.
