At the moment there isn't an explicit mechanism for this. You could do this using some CSS ninja tricks, primarily by wrapping each virtual site's block in a <div> with an id which has display:none then setting the class of the body to sitename, and writing a CSS rule like .sitename #wrapperdivid { display: block; }, or whatever. I'm moving this to feature requests for v4, because this is a reasonable thing to want, and the only normal solution I see at the moment requires more programming sophistication than we should require from an average user. I gave you this solution, Ishaw, because due to something I saw you say in a different post I suspect this kind of thing is within your personal skillset.
