Posting this feature request on client's behalf.

This problem relies on the proxy situation. The problem is that I have tried to get the SMS function to be successful. However it seems that the proxy isn't defined so that the functions_smsgateway.php that can retrieve information from your sms gateway server.

We won't be supporting third-party SMS gateways explicitly, but with V4's plugin architecture it shouldn't be hard to change.

This isn't a 3rd party request. This is kayako's own SMS gateway. Our server is behind a proxy server and we need to send the request to kayako's sms gateway through our proxy and their isn't a easy way of doing this atm.
