(SWIFTFOUR-168) Merge Users - 08-12-2008, 09:26 AM

For those users/customers of ours with multiple email addresses, a function that allowed us to merge their emails and associated tickets into the selected primary user would be most useful.

I like the current system that allows us to have multiple users from an organization, and specify one or more of those users as managers with access to see all of the tickets for all the users in the group, but I'd like an easy way to see all the tickets for the group. Group History as opposed to User History Perhaps a check box from the History Tab.

Might be another/simpler way to get the requested functionality.

We'd like to see it, too, thanks.

The reason is that when using loginshare, users can authenticate using aliases, so they end up with a bunch of logins depending on which alias they used that particular time. Of course, these various logins can't see each other's tickets.

If we delete the extra users, and simply add email addresses to the primary account, the tickets are merged, however, those extra, aliase email addresses can no longer be used to login... another recipe for confusion.

1. Merge users is not useful but rather NEEDED!

2. I don't think that Kayako has realized this but most companies have more than 1 user. Therefore, when you want to see the tickets for any given company, it cant be done.

3. Users and Contacts are two different things in Kayako, anyone care to explain?

4. I have a user with user ID 0 - that cannot be deleted.

5. You insert an additional email address to the account and it doesn't add it.
