Logged (SWIFTFOUR-418) Remove version numbers from interfaces

Version numbers need to be removed from the bottom of the client area. It should just read "Powered by Kayako".

Also, on /staff/ and /admin/, version numbers should not be shown.

Simple reason for this, there is no need for end users to know this as if there is a security hole in an earlier version and they know this, they could try to exploit it.

Granted they could do it without knowing and just try to see if it works but better to make it more difficult for them.

I agree - version number is useful in the administrator control panel only (once logged in). Moved to queue.

You may remove the version number, but you cannot remove the rest of the link or text in the footer unless you have a branding free license

I prefer copyrights to just say "Powered by <SOFTWARE_NAME>" with SOFTWARE_NAME being a link to the site of the software if required. It should NOT be in the header (even Invision Power have removed this from IPB they thought it was such a bad idea). Hopefully Kayako will sort this in V4.

I agree

I'm still worried about the time when v4 will be released! I just got my SupportSuite owned license and hope it comes out before the end of February or else I'll be stuck after my support & upgrades get cut off
