Unhappy Admin missing ticket view and other tabs - 20-02-2007, 03:10 PM

i'm on my free trial - times ticking for me to get it set up/configured and sent to my IT team for approval before purchase but i'm stuck!

i seem to have more options for views/adminsitration in my Staff area

screen of staff login-->



but then my Admin is missing many of the above tabs

screen of admin login-->



i have searched the forum & clicked every admin config area over and over and have not been able to find the setting.

seems like the view would default to having the admin view all tickets?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think anything is wrong with my trial. My question is on configuration.

I just can't figure out how to view tickets in Admin view.

I know it's possible because I have seen other posts that address this. I have tried their solution to make admin team and me, the admin user, have access to all departments but that didn't work. I showed the 2 screen shots of the Admin & Staff view as comparison. Staff login has many more options. I even tried using my admin login under staff area...

This isn't a problem, this is the way the Kayako products are.

Admin area is for managing the helpdesk configuration, Staff area is for answering tickets, ect.

oh, ok - good to know. perhaps that was what supportskins was trying to say.

ok, sorry about the double post. i was thinking i should start a new one since i wasn't sure that my question was the same as that thread's. i also forgot to get email notifications when replies are made so i didn't get the reply to the other post......

I'm understanding better...

One confusion still lingering is that it seems strange that my staff user "Bob" can assign a ticket to the Admin user "Danielle" but Danielle doesn't have a staff login and cannot see her own tickets when she's logged into the AdminCP.

nevermind~ i got it -- logged into the staff/ page with my admin login and i'm all set...
