Assigning ticket to one particular staff - 16-02-2008, 01:29 AM

Is it possible to assign a ticket to one particular staff? For example a customer submits a ticket for a particular department. Then using the desktop notification software, it should assign a staff member in charge of that ticket and notify that staff member's desktop software.

Is this possible?

Using parser rules you can get the software to assign ticket to a particular staff user however the notification will be displayed to all staff users assigned to that department. Parser rules will only work for tickets submitted by direct email.

Yep, rules for web based tickets is needed to fully archive something like this. Hopefully a feature like this will make an appearance in V4.

If I remember right then yes this is going to be added in v4.
