Automatic logon - 10-04-2008, 08:00 AM

Can anyone tell if it possible for the support suite to have an automatic logon? We only have a trial installed so I don't want to play about with it much.

However, when a user goes to post a ticket or wants to read their replies, they have to logon. It is possible for this to happen automatically through NTLM? I can see our users getting annoyed at having to logon every time they want to track an issue they have raised.

We could also then get rid of the logon box on the intro screen. The software will only be used on an internal network and so does not need the username/password box.

I look forward to hearing from anyone.

Many thanks

Hi Gareth,

It is not possible without a modification to the software. A community released modification to achieve this has been released - Autologon mod. (free download here) - but I am not sure if it is functioning soundly with the current version

I wonder if you would consider building it into future releases with the option of turning it on or off in the Admin console.

Many thanks for your reply,

Gareth

Hi Gareth,

It is something we will consider, but it won't feature in the current cycle (Version 3) of our products; if it ever was implemented it would be in Version 4
