Couple of questions regarding eSupport

Afternoon,

Currently doing an audit on various ticket/support tools and whether they could be fit the needs of our support department or not, I'm now checking on eSupport (7 days trial) which seems to have the potential needed.

However, since we will need to adapt the tool we choose to our exact needs, I have a couple questions that still need answering before we make a move:

- What is not included in the 92% of the source code available to owners of licenses? We have a quite good dev team; I just need to know what they will NOT be able to change, no matter what. The more details on this the better.

- Is it possible, once a license is bought, to install a test version (100% internal network, no customer on it) of eSupport, used to validate the various custom changes before putting them live? Is this ok with an owned license and if yes, is there a specific setup we will need to have?

It is 99% source code you get. Only the licence control functions are encrypted. See http://support.kayako.com/index.php?...=49&nav=0,2,11 for more details.

You can install a test version on the same domain. You would need to contact sales to see if you could get another internal IP or something licenced if required which you may need to buy a second domain licence ($99.95) for.
