Moving Domains - 05-12-2008, 02:28 AM

So, I thought it was a good idea to install the 30 day trial version in a temporary domain. Now, converting to the purchased version, I want to keep the data and customizations and move it to the production domain. Both dev and prod are on the same server, which I own.

Can I move the directory to the correct domain, keep the same db and just update the license?

Did you try the hosted or non-hosted trial?

Yes you can - all you need to do is request a domain change (when you purchase), update your product URL in the administrator control panel to reflect the new one, rebuild the cache (again in the admincp), move the files to your new directory, replace your existing key.php file with a new one.
