Private Area using existing eSupport - 15-05-2008, 02:44 PM

We currently have eSupport version 3.10.02 that we use to allow our customer base to post tickets that are then viewed by our staff who answer the questions. The front page has a standard look and feel. I have a requirement where a 3rd party organisation's support team wish to interact with a specific internal department. My question is, can I have a seperate url that has a different front page and also when submitting a ticket the form can be customised to be independent of the existing system? In principle, splitting eSupport into two, one side for the general customer base, the other for a specific customer base?

You could do this with template groups. See the manual for more details -> Redirecting

Thanks for the quick reply, I have been taking a look at the templates. One other question, can I have a seperate url, for example. If our current support site is support.xxxxx.com can I also have support1.xxxxxx.com or equivalent?

If so, how? I cannot seem to find reference to this.

No. Only way would be to put redirect on the subdomains to the group= URL.

Right, so if I understand you correctly it will be the same URL but I would need an option on that page to allow the 3rd Party to jump to their support page?

You would need to have it redirect these subdomains to the Kayako URL with group=GROUPNAME added so each subdomain relates to a group.
