Kayako is pretty amazing software for the price, hopefully it could be just what I need to help provide support for my site.

Does Kayako provide a way for me to setup a CNAME record in my DNS so that a $49.99 a month hosted account can have a subdomain pointed to it? (i.e. http://support.example.com)

Is there any way to chat with users live from Mac OS X or Linux?

Is there any planned integration with Google Apps? (i.e. SyncWorks for Google Apps)

What kind of bandwidth limitations are there to the hosted accounts?

I am afraid this is not currently possible; you will need to (for example) 301 redirect from your subdomain to the one for your account (yourname.helpserve.com).

There is only a Windows desktop application for support agents to monitor and chat with visitors.

Not at present, nor is it isn't a very common request.

What kind of bandwidth limitations are there to the hosted accounts?

You are allowed ten-gigabytes of data transfer per month, which is nearly always more than enough for our customers. Account limitations (including this one) are described in paragraph 5.3 of the terms of service (Company Agreements).
