Support Renewal (15%) - 27-12-2008, 09:56 AM

my support doesn't run out until June 2009, can i purchase a 6 month deal now, with the 15% off, and extend my current support, or would any new support purchased, run from date of purchase ???

Many Thanks

Yes, it will just add 6 months to the date.

Yes you can - you can also purchase and extend by more than six months if you wish.

Didn't know that until few days ago when I contacted Sales to take advantage of the 15% off.

Sales tried to offer me a 2 year extension however then when I put my offer to them got the "not possible" response so sadly didn't extend for 2 years.

Sales are rather quick to offer things but when you want to make a offer generally you don't get too far.

It is unlikely that our sales agents will be flexible on the discount

Yep they seem to run to very strict guidelines.

thanks for the replies, i'm not going to extend for more than 6 months at this point. mainly because this will take me to december, and as we have no roadmap or anything to V4 at this point, i don't want to over extend our product support

Thanks again

Many Thanks

Sorry, why would extending for 2 years not be possible? If they are refusing, just renew ones, ask for a new discount code and so on. The offer says it can be used multiple times before the 1st.

It is possible, you have misread what netaddict said.

Yep

Initally wanted to add 6 more months of support/upgrades plus get one more InstaAlert license. The sales rep then said how about renewing for 2 years, you get then a saving of $x. I said how about if I take the 2 years of support/upgrades you throw in the InstaAlert as a bonus for taking 2 years of support/upgrades upfront like this. Got the "no possible" response which personally found a bit odd as in the past they've always been quick to add InstaAlert as a bonus, oh well not in this case! If you don't try you don't know.

Still happy wtih what I got though

Nothing has really changed then. Sales have never really been able to offer much in the way off discounted prices.
