Smile From trial to real and other questions. - 19-02-2008, 05:57 PM

Hello all,

We are considering to buy eSupport, it looks a great solution.

We plan to start with the trial week, and then purchase the owned version.

I have some questions:

1. During the trial period, can we start working and preparing our real site, or will we have to do it again with the new installation?

2. Can we restrict the whole content to the registered users?, we would like to have the control of the users, is it possible to pre-approve the registration to allow only the real customers to log in?

3. How many tickets can you store?, I mean, for example after 2 or 3 years of using the application, how you control or backup old tickets?, how your existing customers manage this?

1. I think support would be able to do this as long as you requested before the end of the trial when it is deleted from their servers.
2. Yes and yes.
3. The only bottleneck is the spec of the server. Simply increase this as your help desk grows.

Absolutely; if you are hosting the trial yourself, you can set everything up as you intend to use it with a full license. After this, just replace the license key file.

This is possible; you can limit the system and different areas of the system (access to tickets, knowledgebase, troubleshooter etc) in different ways. You can also specify exactly what verification of registrations take place; none, user's self-verification or verification by a staff user.

This really depends on your web server, particularly the server on which your MySQL database is hosted.
