Hi, We have a multilingual support center with the need for localized content in knowledgebase, news, troubleshooter etc. Meaning that the template group should be changed when user changes the language in the client interface. What would be the best way to achieve this? Has anyone done this before? |

I would say the best way to do it would be to edit each template and add a manual drop down menu in listing each language and then linking those to each template group so it is a "swap between template group" drop down menu.

Thank you for the tip. Here's how I resolved it: I modified the language changing JavaScript function jumpLanguage() to also set the request parameter 'group' to the name of appropriate template group when changing a language. This way there's only one place to change instead of many when adding new languages.

Shouldn't this be a standard for Kayako? I mean, if you change the language, what good will it do if the content is in an other language?? I think the template groups should be linked with the languages somehow I have the following : - support for company 1 in english - support for company 1 in french - support for company 2 in english It would be really sweet if the people for company 1 can switch between the languages and see the new content. And that the people for company 2 dont even see the language feature at all (since it will be pretty much useless). I think that this could be done by adding a field in the Template Groups in which you can join templates together for the language switch, and then have the language dropdown be a switch for templates in that group. Makes sense? What do you guys think? |

Also it will be great too, if we can assign the language by users.
