Thumbs up 3.50.05 STABLE build now available - 06-03-2009, 09:56 PM

Greetings,

A new stable build of SupportSuite, eSupport and LiveResponse (3.50.05) is now available from the Members' Area.

3.50.05 closes more than 78 bugs, security issues and feature requests. We strongly recommend that all customers upgrade to this build for security, an optimal experience and compatibility with Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.

Reminder: Kayako software requires PHP 5. Please make sure that your web server meets the minimum requirements.



Notes on Internet Explorer 8:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 is due to be released soon. 3.50.02 introduces some critical JavaScript changes that are required for IE8 compatibility. All earlier versions of SupportSuite, eSupport and LiveResponse will not work with IE8. As far as we are aware, IE8 will be pushed to users via Windows Update. If your support agents and staff users plan on using IE8, it is imperative that you upgrade to 3.50.02 (or later).

  • Ongoing improvements to speed and stability of the server-side software.
  • Internet Explorer 8 compatibility.
  • Enhanced e-mail RFC 2047, 2822 compliance (important if you deal with international character sets).
  • A new follow-up queue management system. Queued follow-up actions are now displayed (along with details and an option to delete the scheduled action) in the follow-up tab when viewing a ticket.
  • Explicit TLS support for IMAP and POP3 queues.
  • SMTP SSL support.
  • Improved live chat "round robin" algorithm for fairer distribution of the chat pool among operators.
