KayakoMobile: It’s finally here.

After almost a year of research & development, feedback and testing, KayakoMobile for Windows Mobile Pocket PC Edition (both WM5 and PPC2003) is finally available for purchasing!

We are still in the process of perfecting and polishing the page for the main Kayako site that will describe KayakoMobile to the public, but it is already in the latest STABLE distribution (available from the Members Area).
KayakoMobile has two methods of installation:

• ActiveSync Installer:
  • File Name(s): \kayakomobile\SetupWM5.exe, SetupPPC2003.exe
  • Instructions: To use the ActiveSync installer, simply attach your mobile device to your PC using the supplied cable and/or cradle. Once the ActiveSync connection has been established, simply execute the .exe file as you would any program. You will be prompted as to whether or not you actually want to install the program. Press Yes and follow the instructions on the screen.
• Mobile Installer:
  • File Name(s): \kayakomobile\SetupWM5.cab, SetupPPC2003.cab
  • Instructions: To use the mobile installer, attach your mobile device to your PC using the supplied cable and/or cradle. Once the ActiveSync connection has been established, copy the .cab file to your device. After the file has been successfully copied, use your mobile device to execute the cab file after locating it using File Explorer. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Currently, you will be able to use ALL of KayakoMobile’s features, with one 5-second delay nag screen when the application starts, and whenever a synchronization is performed. Otherwise, the full functionality of the application is immediately available to you.

For those of you wondering, we do have plans to support the Smartphone platform in the future. However, we do not plan to support Palm, Blackberry, or other miscellaneous mobile platforms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
