| Operations Manager | Optional unload from device memory in KayakoMobile 3.0.4.5 -
24-11-2006, 12:00 PM
It has been brought to our attention that some customers would rather have KayakoMobile run in the background like a normal Pocket PC application when they close it. In version 3.0.4.5, which you can download from the KayakoMobile Forum, this feature has been added. You can now choose whether or not KayakoMobile will stay loaded in program memory when you either close it by choosing the [x] button on the main window, or by using File->Exit. KayakoMobile-OptionalHardExit.png If the option is enabled, KayakoMobile will unload itself from your device’s RAM, which can be useful for devices that are not equipped with much RAM to begin with, or for those of you who have very large ticket databases. If the option is not enabled, KayakoMobile will be “minimized” like a normal Pocket PC application. This means that it is actually still running in the background, it’s just not the foreground application. Choosing KayakoMobile from the Windows menu will re-activate the application. The option entitled “prompt before unloading from memory,” when enabled, will present the user with a confirmation before unloading itself from memory. This is just to ensure that you actually meant to unload the application. Both options are enabled by default. -------------------------------------------------------------------
