v3.00.80 Stable Available in Members Area

The long awaited v3.00.80 stable build is now available for download in the Members Area. Its been a long time since a new stable build came out but if you have been checking our Changelog you might have noticed our dev team committing fixes on a regular basis.

Some people have been complaining on the delays but our goal right from start was to every major issue reported by our clients. A lot of such issues have been constantly reported and discussed upon. These include but are not limited to:

- Safari Crash for Chats
- Call time pass by reference errors
- IE7 Compatibility
- Attachments when Forwarding
- No Attachments in Alerts
- Full PHP5 Support
- Better Session Handling
- Filters or Saved Searches
- Parser issues on Windows

We can now safely say that all of those issues are fixed. There have been numerous enhancements during the development period and this upgrade is recommended highly for all of our users. We are now down to < 80 bugs for SWIFT in the Bug Tracker which is an achievement in itself

Upgrading Instructions
Please refer to Upgrade > Upgrade v3.x section of the manual at http://manual.kayako.net (IE Only)

IMPORTANT NOTES - DO NOT AVOID
1) Make sure you backup before proceeding, You should backup both the database and files
2) Make sure you move the contents of files directory back and dont delete them when upgrading. This is very important, not doing so might result in loss of attachments and quick drop down menus not working
3) It is required you update the config.php and change the database name and other settings manually as this file has gone through some revision
4) Make sure you CHMOD 755 /cli/index.php

- Fixed all Call Time Pass By Reference Issues. This has required editing code at 600+ different places, Although we have *thoroughly* tested everything.
