Question Bug Tracker - 04-11-2008, 03:33 PM

Hi

Does anyone know if any form of bug tracker plug-in has been added to Support Suite. We run a large distance lerning course with tutors spread out all over the place. From within the Staff area, we want the tutors to be able to reports bugs or problems they come across with any of our materials or assignments.

We have tried to use the standard Ticket request, but this is not really suitable without a lot of modifications,

Any ideas most welcomed.

Thanks

Alex

Trip to the pub ?

No, seriously, given that we need to incorporate this into the Support Centre, I think we will need to do do some more mods to Support Suite

Problems can usually be solved at the pub and it is also where all good ideas are thought up! lol

I suppose you could create a module for Kayako to do this.

Going to the pub and it's only Tuesday?!

Perhaps a bit off topic, I note that Kayako use Artic Tracker. Seem quite good, so I might investigate it for my organisation. What's the big issue about hosting your support and problem reporting systems separately? They could probably be skinned to look similar and a login share module might sort out any login issues....

I would strongly advise against adopting Arctic; it is essentially unsupported software since being taken over from Olate.

Rob

Apart from what Jamies has just posted - its a right pain - it means having yet another application to maintain, update, manage, and besides my staff moan at every extra mous click they have to do

Think i can probably sort it out within Support Suite and a bit of code changing

I would back Jamie's views on Arctic. I used it for about an hour before binning it.

We're moving away from Arctic due to dissatisfaction. We do not recommend it.

We are looking for a similar solution.

What are you planning on using instead of Arctic?

Please say a native kayako supportsuite bug tracker Given that a helpdesk is already a place to report support issues adding a built in bug tracker would fit nicely into your product offering.
