Changing Index Icons (Without FTP Access)

The title says it. I need to change the icons on the main page without simply uploading over the existing ones.

I ended up removing the widgets function and just manually creating the tables and contents...

Anyone see any problems with doing that?

This is possible, some additional coding (using php if else) needs to be done on the index page. Our skins support hosted solutions wherein Kayako does not provide ftp access information. We use the same technique for our skins.

I just removed the widgets code from the index, then constructed the tables 1 at a time. It looks the same, with the new icons, and doesn't do harm.

It looks good. Make sure you have set it correctly in such a way that when the client logs into the helpdesk, the Register Widget should change to View Tickets.

EDIT: Just to add, you cannot remove the Kayako copyright information without the Branding Free License

Thanks for the tip. I'll be purchasing a branded free license.

And it doesn't remove the "register" when I long in. Suggest on how to rebuild it to function correctly?

You can use the if else case, something like:

if user logged in
show view tickets icon
else
register icon
