I have also tested the search (finally I got it to work - You have to take the code from the navbar.tpl file included in the download. If you use the code from the website it wont work - Jemrada you have to update your site ;o)

Anyways I love this MOD (Kayako really should have been born with this feature) but unfortunately I will have to wait a little to use the Search function - at least until the below wishes have been added:

1. Only for logged in users
I see that the search tickets navbar is still visible when the user is logged out (or when you are not yet logged in). No need for a search ticket there because it should only be used to search for tickets for the specific user - right?

2. Better results
Search results could have a nicer look - It would be nice if the results still were listed within the templates of the site instead of being shown in a single page without any other context. Also a little work on the css could be nice there.

3. Remove the GO button
As you see in my previous post I have removed the GO button completely, since I don't see any use of it.

4. Nicify the css
Im not css/php guru so it would be nice if it was a little easier to change font, size etc. for the Filter MOD and Search MOD so it could look like the rest of the site.

5. Default search option
By default it is set to search for nothing. It would be nice if the first option was ie. search "all criterias" - insted of having to choose either; Ticket ID, Message or Subject.

6. Better Filter (update)
The filter is cool, but it would be cooler if it sorted the dropdown list alphabetically and if the Private Status´ wasn't seen.

I know this is alot of requests. But the fact is that this feature is very needed for many users I think, so you should be very proud of your MOD (it just need some more work - for me to use it anyway) and Kayako-guys : Please look at this mod and learn... and even better - make it a part of Kayako

Thanks a lot

Unhappy Site Gone? - 06-12-2007, 06:06 AM

I would really like to use your mod, but the site is gone. Would you be able to email it to me.. cornernote [at] gmail [dot] com.

It seems to be exactly what kayako support center really needs.

Thanks for your time and effort developing this!

I guess it would be ok if I upload the file?

Just remember that some of the code in the doc.txt is wrong (you can find the right code in the template-files instead.

Global Ticket Search - 19-12-2007, 02:51 PM

Is there any way to tweak this to do a global ticket search rather than for just submitted by the user. We have an internal system where we pass tickets from an end user to someone who works tickets. I don't want to set up the end user as a staff but as a user but they need to be able to find tickets from other users.

Thanks
Keith Smith

Unable to download the Client Side Ticket Search - 01-02-2008, 08:38 PM

Hi,
I am very interested in obtaining this, but continue to receive the following error when I try to download it:

An error occurred while processing your request. Reference #97.720f648.1201898117.6d003

Is there an alternate website I can get this from.

Thank you.

Hello Everyone,

I am sorry for my absences. The site this used to be on is no longer active as you can see. Because of partner issues the company has folded. I will soon be updating this thread with the updated version I have now. We have added a couple things and updated the code. We may have over looked some, but we will look over this thread again before submitting.

Send me a PM for a copy of the files. I will be happy to email them to you.

Can you let us know if it works on the new build?

Keith, I have built the options that I think you are looking for. To give you an idea, we use kayako as an internal ticket system from a staff group that can submit tickets that will go to other departments within the company. As for the ability to see the tickets, we want all tickets to be search able and editable by any member as sometimes not everyone is in. I can send you what I have, but some of the drop downs relate to custom field entries like an account number that would need to be modified to work with your installation.
