Customize Client view - Please Help! - 08-05-2009, 04:13 AM

Hi There,

We are using eSupport to Manage our Customer support. At the moment we have atleast two custom fields that appear on a staff login view which we would like the customer (client) to be able to see on their view as well. This is vital information pertaining to their ticket (such as vendor reference numbers etc). Our customers see this (custom fields) as important information which they should be able to see in their login view as it helps them track the progress of their ticket.
At the moment this information does not appear either in ticketlist view of the customer login or in the ticket-detailed view (the view when a user opens up a ticket in their login).
I'm quite sure that the only way to achieve this requirement is by means of changing the default system code.

Can someone please point out to me which system file I should be changing and if you could provide some sample code for my requirement that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Richard,

Just to check the basics, did you set this custom field group type to 'Staff & User Ticket Creation'? This setting means that the custom field group is displayed on the client ticket view..
