Hi, Now most people, including myself, have realized that SoftAir LTD is down, I thought it might be a nice idea if people that have old and free modules of SoftAir that they upload them in this topic. The reason why I suggest this is because I was searching the forums and I see a lot of references to: - Autologin script - Staff Status Script And so on. I think it's fair to only upload the plugins they released for free. I hope this helps here. |

Tried contacting Dewak via their help desk? Their staff used to work for SoftAir so they may have them.

even though looks as Softair is down I really wouldn't feel safe uploading their scripts... one way to get sued....

Hi there, Please do not repost modifications that were once available only by contacting SoftAir, unless you have their explicit permission to redistribute. If the mods were once posted here as file attachments, then by all means re-link to them. Thanks, -------------------------------------------------------------------

Only if they are currently publicly available, and the author explicitly grants that permission is it allowable.

One of the reasons I said contact Dewak VIA their help desk. What happens behind closed doors doesn't matter *winks*

Maybe so, but do not encourage that kind of activity here

Why not? I am not breaking the rules of the forum. Just had a read of them.

Just like pornography here on the forum is disallowed, it is implied that posting instructions on where to find or how to get pornography is equally disallowed. We don't need to specify everything in the rules. -------------------------------------------------------------------

If I'm right it's also that old GPL Software may be mirrored. I don't know the License, but it has nothing to do with copyright if you ask me. The mods were free and opensource, so if we let the © in place, I really don't see an issue as you don't re-distribute it as a new version. I can be wrong. | |

Hi Thijs, If the software was bundled with a license that stated the software was opensource (i.e. was bundled with a copy of a GPL license), then yes it can be redistributed. Otherwise, it cannot. Also, the (C) does not have to be there in order for copyrights to be held. -------------------------------------------------------------------
