I am currently making a modification to show the staff status of each individual user. Similar to Office Status for my hosting company. I was wondering where exactly is the staff status stored, such as: Online, Be back soon, Away Thanks, Caleb Mingle |

I believe Caleb is making one to report the status of all staff based on a staff's status in the desktop application. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, that would be a real nice module to have. Kayako's one, btw, I think is based on the key card system at the office for checking in and out Varun told me once. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Wow, the Kayako office is advanced. So all staff carry something and it auto detects when they are inside the Kayako office? Anyway, maybe would be a good idea to have staff status as one of the API calls for the Kayako API... Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

I don't know what RFID stands for but Kayako Staff Members carry a keycard that interacts with a system at their office... So when a staff member is at the office it will automaticly mark them as "In Office" at office.kayako.net if they are not there then will set them as Out of Office I am pretty sure other then the online office status system it probably serves some other purpose.. Like Varun will be able to know when people are actually in the building and working at all times... Digital Mayhem, Inc. RFID is a radio tagging system (Radio Frequency Identification); our staff carry around passive RFID tags that are placed against a reader - it blasts a magnetic field, and the tag reflects the field in a unique way allowing the reader to identify the card. RFID tags are tiny, embedded in the cards. We use it for clocking in/out, health and safety (fire register) etc. The system is the same one Walmart uses on all of their crates to track their goods across warehouses and stores, although they use active RFIDs and most office environments / ID card systems use passive RFIDs. Active RFID tags (as opposed to passive) are much larger and normally battery powered - they actively broadcast their own RFID, and you don't need to have the RFID tag in close proximity to a reader to be read. -------------------------------------------------------------------
