Ticket locking... is this possible? - 16-05-2008, 06:43 AM

Dear All,

I am trying to implement a simple thing, within the ticket locking feature.

What iam trying to do is, if someone is looking a ticket, it displays the padlock etc..

is it possible to; if someone is looking at the ticket to grey out the "post reply" text area? or even disable the submit reply button?

Is this possible? How would I do it?

Thanks!!

To do so, you should change the file kayako_path/modules/tickets/staff_viewticket.php
If you want to lock textarea you have to change the code around line 496.
If you want to lock/remove submit reply button you have to change the code around line 614.
Please let me know if this info was helpful and if you need further information.

Andrew, Holbi

just to confirm, if i do set this up, this could potentially mean the following:

user1 clicks on ticket-123 it displays the pad lock

if user2 clicks on ticket-123 it will display the "greyed out textarea" right?

What will happen if user1 refreshes their page for some reason? It will display that user2 is viewing the ticket? That could mess things up right?

If you want we can test it with you. I'm not really sure what screen user 1 will see.

Regards,

Andrew, Holbi

ok after testing what was suggested to make the postreply field readonly, it works.. but it has set the post reply field to ALWAYS readonly, i only want it to be readonly if deemed that someone else is looking at the ticket (locked out)
