Details of clientcss - 27-11-2007, 07:34 PM

Can someone point me to an annotated version of clientcss ?

In particular, what are the items beginning "swift" referring to?

Surely it can't be the case that every new User has to work out for themselves what each css item is !**!
Yet I haven't found it in the Manual? Nor in the KB?

Hi Timetabler,

There is no annotated version, but there is an easy way for you to find things out yourself. For example, in FireFox - select the area you're interested in, right click, view the source. Then you can easily see which CSS class corresponds to that area.

For example;

Great tip. If you want something for Firefox that will provide tons more info...try Firebug! Excellent tool. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843

Hello Jamie,

Thanks for the good tip, I'll do that.
Can you give me an idea what the "swift" items are?

Which swift items are you referring to?

.swiftbutton
.swifttextarea
.swifttimer
.swiftpostmessage
.swiftsendbutton
.swiftselect
.swiftfieldset

SWIFT is the framework Kayako is built upon. When CSS includes swift, it simply means it is global rather than relating to a specific module.

A visual guidance like the example below would help a lot.

Hi Craig,

Super, Great, Fabulous!

As a beginner I just thought that this kind of visual annotation could be very usefull (to me and other users), and in no time you presented a visual CSS-guideline that should be added to the official User Manual instantly.

Thank you very much!

Regards, Michel

Jamie is most welcome to add it to the manual if he wishes.
