Dont show the "Register" widget on index; and menu question

Hi,
I don't want to show the "Register" widget on index page. I don't find a way to remove it.

And I want to add a line right to the menu. But I dont know where and in which template I have to add this option.

To remove the Register widget:
Staff CP > Users > Manage Group > Guest > Click to edit permissions > Can View Register Widget > No

You can do this by editing either the navbar or header template

But I don't find a position where I can add the line. And I don't know how. May I add a new column?

To add a new column you will have to edit the header or footer template depending upon the positioning of the navbar
