External Login Form **Not LoginShare** - 05-11-2008, 02:03 PM

I have several questions regarding customizing the theme to suite my branding and function needs, so please pardon and forgive several post by me over the next day or two, I will do my best to keep them intelligent.

Anywho, I am wanting to have a login form on the root of my domain, which will redirect my clients to the installation of supportsuite. Since this installation is on a subdomain, the themepath and other functions that require installation path will not work if I am correct.

I have taken the header.tpl and loginform.tpl from the admin default theme and combined them to create a login form, but would I need to change every function that requires a path to the full domain path, or can I add some meta to the header portion of this new file which directs these path functions to the subdomain of my installation?

I'm sorry if this is too vague, I am hardly knowledgable in php or db development, as I only know enough to perhaps edit and 'hack' the source to accomplish what I need, or apparently not even that.

Why go through such trouble! Just create a simple HTML login form with the form action path being the Kayako index.php page. Make sure you use all the hidden fields in the form. That should do the trick.

Perhaps I like complicated. I'm not really sure why I want it so complicated, but I seem to have a mindset I want coding to remain consistent and aesthetics to match through the whole system. Perhaps there may be no other way, but I am sure that there are a few braniacs that can make this happen.

Well in that case, use the same codes as in login.tpl and instead of <{$themepath}> use the actual URL to your software /themes/client_default directory.

Bah, I'm not smart enough for this right now. I will take another route than a login box to redirect clients to the support portal. Thank you though SupportSkins for taking the time to help out. I would ask, however, if someone could help here?
