Our Integration - 19-02-2007, 06:01 AM

Hello everyone!

I am just wondering if I can get some opinions on how to increase the usability of our eSupport integration. It took no time at all for me to do this, but in order to make it an excellent resource for our customers then it should be very easy to find and do things. Any suggestions? Thanks for the comments!

Hi,

Do you have any more info on exactly how you integrated this. I seem to be having issues, although I imagine that is because PHP is not really my thing.

Any help would be great though.

Thanks

Karl

This is plainly template based customization and does not really involve any PHP knowledge. Basic idea of PHP can help you work around much faster.

All looks very very cluttered... More white space would make it more usable.

Hi John,

I do like your integration here - fits in well with the rest of your site.

Hello, I am not sure why I wasn't being notified of replies about this, but thank you very much for the feedback.

Well, hmmm...this is normally how Supportsuite looks so I am not quite sure if this is a problem with my customization or the way Kayako laid out this software, but your suggestion is noted. I find too much white space to be wasted space...

Can you tell us how you "squeezed" it all in for the center layout? I have tried, but always loose the login section

Well you just need to design a table that you like, which will go around the outside of your entire support suite, Then paste the first section of that code upto <td> into your header template. Then paste the last section of that table code from </td> into the footer template.

I like it - it looks very good in my opinion.... want some more work..

Also the tutorials are very slick..... just going away from the KB option is Kayako and doing your own thing....

thnk you, is that mean i need to put the <td> at header.tpl and </td > at footer.tpl? the problem is I dont know which .tpl file is for the client, i mean the 1st page of support, not for admin and staff.

sorry, i am not good on explaining..
thanks for any help.

In the GENERAL template, header and footer files yes.

I dont think the staff/admin templates are controlled from the admin area, so wherever you see header/footer would be the client area yes.

I would recommend searching the forum for help or posting a thread. This thread was to show off our integration, I dont really have time to help im afraid... sorry.

One thing though, edit your templates from the admin control panel.
