Is there a way to modify the way the admin/staff cp looks? - 05-07-2007, 03:04 PM

Hello,

I have already done many changes to the templates in SupportSuite. I have made what the users see to my liking, and that's great. I have made my tickets unique in the way they look and have even changed the template for the confirmation message to make the tickets appear how the user entered them. BUT, I cannot find a way to change the actual ticket itself -- in the staff cp section...I want that to look like the templates i made for the
'submit templates' part.

Is there a way to do this??

Thanks!
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

The templates for the staff and administrator control panel can be found in the files inside of the themes folder - they work in the same way as the client-side templates do, but are stored in flat files.

Alright, so I found the Admin templates/files, but I am really confused on WHICH one to actually edit. I don't see anything that pops out at me and says "Hey this is where the tickets are viewed by the staff". Does anyone know exactly which file that I need to modify in order to change the look of the tickets as seen by the staff??

Thanks!
Sarah

Tell me the link you're using (index.php?_m=tickets& ...)and i'll tel you wich template to edit

Edit: or, as i can see that you also have an owned version, you can dig through the code and find the template call by yourself

Sorry to tell you this, but it seems like this part is heavily hardcoded so you won't find anything in the theme

Code is here
modules/tickets/staff_viewticket.php

So there's absolutely no way to customize that output? Right now it's all jumbled and hard to read...I would really like it to look nice.

Thanks!

You can do it with your owned licence

Change the code in modules/tickets/staff_viewticket.php

But it's going to be a bit harder than just playing with a template

Anyway, i think that someone will have to confirm what i'm saying (i'm not an expert ).

You can request unencoded versions of files from Kayako if you come up with a good reason I am told...

craig, it seems like sarah has an owned licence. With an owned licence you'll be able to see the file with no problem

Oh nevermind -- when i was re-reading i found what you wrote:

Quote:

modules/tickets/staff_viewticket.php
and i now see where that is. I think I might try to change the output because it's pretty important that I do.

Thanks!
