Language Pack Update Tool - 15-05-2008, 08:46 AM

Hello,

In this thread, I will explain the procedure for upgrading a Language Pack for a newer version of Kayako without re-translating the whole thing.

This uses a simple script one of my developers created.

1. On the version you wish to upgrade TO, go Admin CP -> Languages -> Import/Export and click Export after selecting the default "English (US)" language.
2. Either do the same procedure above on your OLD version but selecting your translating language to export OR download a language pack here from the forums.
3. Go to Language Phrase Translation and browse for the old version translated document and also the new English default language. Click Upload Files.
4. Translate all phrases that need to be added and click Submit and Download.

At this point you will now have a language pack you can import into your new Kayako installation and / or share with the community.

Best Regards,
Craig Brass

I have tried 8 different language translations with supportsuite.3-60-02.language packs by using Language Pack Update Tool from craigbrass. Thank you very much craigbrass.

If you go to the webiste: www.e-cig.com, click on the Help Desk link, you can have the following different languages with supportsuite.3-60-02.language packs:

- Simplified Chinese:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.simplified_chinese.language.xml

- Traditional Chinese:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.traditional_chinese.language.xml

- Japanese:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.japanese.language.xml

- French:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.french.language.xml

- Dutch:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.dutch.language.xml

- Italiano:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.italiano.language.xml

- Russian:
with the file supportsuite.3-60-02.russian.language.xml

Now, one question: Is there any way the contents can be translated in the different languages?

Great stuff, but the one I want (Italiano) seems a "dead" link :-( .
