If you have previously downloaded a Spanish translation, you may have noticed that certain menus or buttons do not have captions.

This is because those buttons and menus were added after the translation was done. Gabriel from HOZTEAR was kind enough to provide the missing entries.

Please find the language pack at http://hotfix.kayako.com/language/Spanish-26-01-06.xml

This pack contains all entries for the WinApp as of version 3.00.33.

You need to download it to the Lang sub-folder of the WinApp installation folder (usually C:\Program Files\Kayako\LiveResponse).

Enjoy!

I think they cleared the server when they added the Hot Fix Server Site. Hopefully Ryan will upload it again when he sees this thread.

paco,

Please take a look at Spanish Language Pack for V3 for the server-side Spanish language pack.

I'm looking into the missing winapp translation now.

missing text? - 07-04-2008, 05:07 PM

Hello Ryan.

Thanks for the info. But after uploading the xml file to my brand new installed 3.20 build , i still see some gaps in the translation. Please check the ppt attached to this note. Will consult with Disenoweb as well.
Any ideas on this issue?

Thanks,
Paco

It is likely that you are trying to use a language pack created for a much older version of the product, which is missing several entries.

You should either look for a newer version of the pack, or provide the translation manually by looking at the corresponding entries in the English pack.

Language problems - 10-06-2008, 08:56 PM

First of all I had trouble importing the files...
I had to them manually...

After importing them manually
When I go to the main page accents and the n tilda are generated with Ã...
When they are displayed in the admin section they are displayed correctly...
On the database they were inserted with ó, etc...
The database charset for the tables was configured as latin1_spanish_ci
On database the following:
default:charset ISO-8859-1
default:text_charset ISO-8859-1
html_charset ISO-8859-1
How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance...

You must save the language pack in UTF-8 encoding before importing it. The charset values will also need to be changed to UTF-8.

Download Notepad2 (flo's freeware - Notepad2) and make sure the encoding is set to UTF-8 when you save the file.

Exclamation easy way to fix accent characters - 10-07-2008, 12:14 AM

hi people, i found an easy way to fix Spanish characters.
You need to edit only one record in spanish phrases language (downloaded from this forum).
Item calls "charset" (page 9 in my phrase list), this record is populated with "utf8", you need change it with ISO-8859-1 and save.

Sorry for my bad English, if you need more help, tell me to write more and best detail in Spanish.

Regards!
