Release Spanish Language Pack for V3

Hello Disenioweb...

My name is Paco Almena, (i´ll write in english so everybody can understand us),
I have also translated succesfully both the spanish xml for we web as the xml for the Live support program. Now, as i have been told, we need to "buy" the kayako, before having acces to the staff files. We are intrested in buying it, but once bought, installed and configured on our machines (owned version)

Do you have the thanslated files PHP files for the staffsection, so i can fine tune our version and start explaining this to our 3 Operadors? (sales, dept., tecnical Dept., and Admin Dept.)

I ask you this because the translations into correct spanish, was quite time consuming...

He cambiado todas las frases del idioma a ISO-8859-1, sin embargo siguen saliendo mal los acentos. Hasta lo cambie en el idioma ingles y en el archivo en-us.php igual sale mal. Lo raro es que si en el navegador pongo UTF-8 entonces sale bien. Completamente al revés.

My case is the following one. I have implemented version 3.04.10 of Support Suite. I have translated to the Spanish the panel of clients swift.language.xml having followed the criterion of Iso-8859-1 codification.

In the Admin Panel I have created new lenguage with this Iso-8859-1 codification and also I have concerned the previous file. In the panel admin all the terms and phrases are correct, nevertheless in the Web there are errors with the accents and certain letters.

I have put myself in contact with the technical service of Kayako and at the moment they have not given solution me.

Can somebody help me?

Mi caso es el siguiente. He implementado las versión 3.04.10 de Support Suite. He traducido al español el panel de clientes swift.language.xml siguiendo el criterio de codificación Iso-8859-1.

En el Panel Admin he creado un nuevo lenguage con esta codificación Iso-8859-1 y también he importado el fichero anterior. En el panel admin todos los términos y frases son correctas, sin embargo en la web hay errores con los acentos y determinadas letras.

Me he puesto en contacto con el servicio técnico de Kayako y de momento no me han dado solución.

¿Puede alguien ayudarme?

The software cache does not seem to be rebuilding itself. Even though the language pack phrase charset is set to iso-8859-1, the software is cached to use UTF-8 due to which the language seems to be working fine with encoding UTF-8.

This is exactly what I have done:

To go to the site locale \ en-es \ *.* and to lower all the directory to my servant.
To change to the name to the directory by locale \es \ *.*
To change the file en-us.php by es.php
To return to raise to all the directory locale \es \ *.*
To go to panel CP ADMIN.
To go to languages-->spanish-->phrases
To by hand change all the characters that were not well. (accents and ñ)
Previously I have changed the codification of UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 in the file en-us.php

And it already is

Esto es exactamente lo que he hecho:

Ir al sitio locale\en-us\*.* y bajarme todo el directorio a mi servidor.
Cambiar el nombre al directorio por locale\es\*.*
Renombrar el archivo en-us.php por es.php
Volver a subir todo el directorio locale\es\*.*
Ir al panel CP ADMIN.
Ir a languages-->spanish-->frases
Cambiar a mano todos los carácteres que no estaban bien. (acentos y ñ)
Previamente he cambiado la codificacion de UTF-8 a ISO-8859-1 en el fichero en-us.php

Yo hice lo mismo, excepto que ya habia cargado todos los datos. Como el sistema estaba en UTF-8 los cargue asi, y luego al instalar todo en español mis datos estaban mal.

Para las instalaciones nuevas asegurense de hacer todos esos pasos antes de cargar cualquier datos, asi no tendran que cambiar nada luego de forma manual.

En tu caso seguramente tuviste que cambiar de forma manual porque el archivo en el cual esta el idioma español esta en UTF-8, entonces al cargarlo al sistema esta todo mal, asegurense de cambiar en el archivo swift xml del idioma tambien el UTF-8 antes de cargarlo y los accentos estaran bien.

Por que no suben los archivos modificados para que todos los usemos?

Also, I was using the first language files with v3, but now for the last releases we noted than some strings are not working, like Follow-ups (a recent new feature.)

I'm curious about how other sections have hidden problems
If your spanish translation works ok with the last stable release, please share it with us if you are so kind

* Since Kayako doesn't allow file uploads (I don't know why) I had to do it that way sorry. If anyone is having issues with the link or has a better place to upload it PM me

INSTALLATION:

- Go to the 'locale' directory and make a copy of the dir 'en-us' to 'es-mx' (linux: cp -a en-us es-mx)
- Get into 'es-mx' , edit the file 'en-us.php' and change all the 3 'UTF-8' strings to 'ISO-8859-1' and save the file.
- Rename the file 'en-us.php' to 'es-mx.php' (linux: mv en-us.php es-mx.php)
- Go to your Admin Interface Options -> Languages -> Import/Export , browse the file 'swift.language.xml' (already downloaded), select the option '-- Create New Language --' and click on 'Export XML'.
- Now 'Español' will appear on your language list, edit it and set it's order to 1 then edit 'English' and set it's order to 2
- Go to Templates -> Manage Groups -> Settings , and select 'Español' as default language.
- You are ready to go!

* This language pack DOES NOT INCLUDE admin/staff translations, in order to do that, download all the files under 'locale/es-mx/' and edit them manually, good luck!

* Como Kayako ya no permite subir archivos (no sé porqué) tuve que hacerlo de esta forma sorry. Si alguien tiene problemas con el link o tiene un mejor lugar donde subirlo que me mande un MP (mensaje privado)

INSTALACIÓN:

- Ve al directorio 'locale' y haz una copia del directorio 'en-us' a 'es-mx'
- Ve a 'es-mx' , edita el archivo 'en-us.php' y cambia las 3 variables 'UTF-8' a 'ISO-8859-1' y guarda el archivo.
- Renombra el archivo 'en-us.php' a 'es-mx.php'
- Ve a las Opciones de la Intefaz Administrativa -> Languages -> Import/Export , selecciona el archivo 'swift.language.xml' (previamente descargado), selecciona la opción '-- Create New Language --' y click en 'Export XML'.
- Ahora 'Español' aparecerá en tu lista de lenguajes, edita el orden a 1 y luego edita 'English' y ponle orden 2.
- Ve a Templates -> Manage Groups -> Settings ,y selecciona 'Español' como el lenguaje predeterminado.
- Estas listo!

* Este paquete NO INCLUYE las traducciones para admin/staff, para hacerlo tienes que descargar todos los archivos bajo el directorio 'locale/es-mx/' y editarlos manualmente, buena suerte!

I do all what you say, but the "- Now 'Español' will appear on your language list" do not apply for me.

The new language is not listed.
