The reason why I ask this is because it's nice to have for learning and knowledge about developing mods for own usage against the Kayako system, not for sales or redistributing.

I don't see anything illegal about this post at all
Andres doesn't own the mod, Softair does, thats what is illegal.

The problem is that SoftAir does not exists anymore, so it depends on who was owning SoftAir directly.

As far as I understand this is how it is now, so, if SoftAir still exists on paper, "they" could share it here on the forums.

But I'm not 100% into LTD's

People that still would like to receive this mods need to have a person to speak to, I'm trying to get hold of one by this

Depending on how it was setup, the limited company would own the rights unless they were signed over to somebody else even after said company is dissolved.

I get the impression Dewak is recreating many of SoftAir's old mods so best thing to do is contact them and pipe up that you want any modifications they used to offer and if enough people do, they will make them in theory.

We don't have the old Soft Air modules and we don't own them, and I think that if someone wants to publish them they need permission or proper authorization, otherwise it will illegal. This thread is regarding our free modification and not about the old modules from other companies.

Dozens of people already requested the DirectLogin module, if you are interested in this free modification please contact me via email.

True.

But who do I/we need to contact for them ?

That's what I'm trying to find out.

You need to create your own thread for this.

Hi all

I have now installed this mod successfully on a test site that I am running. Have integrated it with the awbs_login as well (had to change the awbs_login a touch but have added the ability to login by awbs username as well as email now) and it works great. It works out of the box really for the standard default login.

All in all a great mod and I am very very happy with it. Great job Dewak !

Suggestion that maybe the template mod should have two links - first as now pointing to ticket and second pointing to a viewlist - i.e. ALL tickets ? Or some text telling user to press back button once logged in to see all of their tickets ?

Working next on another small mod to awbs_login to check if user is already logged in to the awbs side when they come to helpdesk (via a direct login style link) and if so then log them in automatically as awbs has already authorised them - views anyone ?

A new version of the module will include an additional link to display all tickets. We will keep you posted guys!

Andres - this worked like a champ - thank you so much!!!! Quick question, on Outlook Emails and both AR and SR, the link is NOT clickable.. is it something we did or the template code? below is what the outlook email looks like when I view source:
Code:
Status: <font color="#5C83B4">Open</font><BR>
You can see this entire Ticket History or easily reply to this Ticket online at:<BR>http://support.mydomain.com/modifications/dwk_directlogin.php?email=me@me.com&ticketid=4151&sessionid=a71a0b204b7a65776d91bd7b4eeab590<BR>
</fieldset>
Of course Gmail or Yahoo shows the link anyway.. Any ideas what we did to mess it up? Don't see an A Tag but not sure...

THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Thanks for your kind words!

I assume Outlook doesn't detect automatically URL links. I'll update the templates to ensure all email clients display the DirectLogin link properly.

Email me and I'll send you the updated version.
