This is an amazing mod...I love it as it will help me bill my clients. Thanks.

Is it possible to limit who can actually see the "export to excel" link? We may not want all staff to be able to do this.

Hi Mehul, the modification cannot be limited to certain staff users. All staff users have access to the modification.

Mehul, I can't get the ticket list report and the department summary to render correctly. The reports are generated, but the data is incomplete.

Any clues? Andres and I speculate that it might be due to a PEAR version mismatch or not having the right PEAR module. Any hints from your server config?

Hi Matthew,

This is our server info:

PHP Version: 5.2.3
PEAR Modules required: Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer
Packages required: Structures_DataGrid (versions <= 0.6.3)
Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS

Please send me an example or screenshot of the error, maybe a custom field or customization is making the mod to don't work properly.

Best

Hi Matthew, I simply over rode the files that Andres provided in his mod and it worked. I also asked my host if we were using the PEAR framework and he simply confirmed that he was so I didn't do anything to get the mod to work.

What type of information are you looking for? Did you implement Andres other mod (attachment notes)?

Thanks Mehul. I implemented the note attachments mod, without any problems.

I'm checking up with my host provider for the PEAR modules installed.

You could be right about that. I have both custom fields and mods sprinkled throughout. I tried overwriting all the files provided, but that didn't get me anywhere; the issue does not seem to be what I've done with those files.

Hmmm... does this error from my server log give any clues?

Quote:
[Tue Apr 08 23:30:18 2008] [error] [client 116.12.50.185] PHP Warning: file_exists() [<a href='function.file-exists'>function.file-exists</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(./files/parser.lockfile) is not within the allowed path(s): (../httpdocs:/usr/share/pear:/tmp) in .../httpdocs/modules/parser/cron_parser.php on line 32
While it refers to the parser.lockfile, it also refers to PEAR. Maybe I'm grasping at straws here...

I also have custom fields. When installing this mod did you overwrite the common file that is provided in both mods or did you merge the two? I had to merge the changes from one into the other in order to get both mods working.

I merged the two.

Andres, you gave me the following info RE PEAR modules, but I'm wondering if you made a typo on Structures_DataGrid:

Quote:
PEAR Modules required: Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer
Packages required: Structures_DataGrid (versions <= 0.6.3)
Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS
The info I get from my hosting provider says:

Quote:
However Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS package requires Structures_DataGrid to be at least 0.7.0:
PEAR :: Package :: Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS

even starting from its first release:
PEAR :: Package :: Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS :: 0.1.0

So I didn't install it.

Please check with your software provider and let us know if you want to update Structures_DataGrid to latest
and install Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS
I gave him the green light to upgrade and install, and will report back to the forum later.

Ok, now that all required PEAR packages are installed (but versions?), the server error log is looking more interesting. Still no Ticket List or Department Summary reports, though.

For the record, here are my PEAR modules and versions. I'm on a CentOS server with Plesk 8.3.0, PHP 5.1.6, mySQL 5.0.48:

Quote:
Installed packages, channel pear.php.net:
=========================================
Package Version State
Archive_Tar 1.3.2 stable
Console_Getopt 1.2.3 stable
Console_Table 1.1.0 stable
File 1.3.0 stable
HTML_Common 1.2.4 stable
Net_URL 1.0.15 stable
Net_URL_Mapper 0.9.0 beta
OLE 0.6.1 beta
PEAR 1.7.1 stable
PHPUnit 1.3.2 stable
PHP_Compat 1.5.0 stable
Pager 2.4.6 stable
Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer 0.9.1 beta
Structures_DataGrid 0.9.0 beta
Structures_DataGrid_Renderer_XLS 0.1.3 beta
Structures_Graph 1.0.2 stable
XML_Parser 1.2.8 stable
XML_RPC 1.5.1 stable
XML_Util 1.1.4 stable
And here are the error log entries:

That error sequence basically repeats for every department.
