Kayako FireFox Client - 06-10-2008, 02:31 PM

Currently, if you want to have a constant check for new Tickets and new Ticket Replies, you can use Kayako's InstAlert and if you want to answer incoming Live Support, you have to use Kayako's WinApp. Unfortunately, the main draw back of both of these applications is that they are only available for Windows. Another disadvantage is that they are separate applications and combined, they have 13mb installers.

We are providing a FireFox Addon which combines both of these applications into one small package that will work on any operating system that supports FireFox.

Please note: This only contains the ticket checking (InstAlert Pro) functionality at this stage. Live Support (WinApp) functionality should be available in the next week or so.

Damn you! You stole my idea (was going to write a web interface for the live chat app as most of it is plain XML communication anyway) - granted we're not using LiveResponse anymore so there isn't much of a need for me to do so.

Anyway, top job as per usual. Might start using this if I can bring myself to go back to Firefox

Forgot to say, two more advantages of our application are :-
- Ability to disable individual alerts (handy if you only want to view the number in each department rather than getting notifications).
- Ability for multiple accounts.

Hello!

Thanks, it's great extension. But i'm experiencing a problem with Russian language as you can see on the image:

Instead of Russian symbols I get something UTF8'ized, maybe Firefox issue, but all my system likely uses UTF-8 as you can see 'IRC' is readable, although anything else is not.

OS: Kubuntu Linux 8.10
Browser: Firefox 3.0.3
