After installing I don't have any “rights” tab?

I have also tried to clear the cache - but still no “rights” tab.

Problem solved (via msn)

mopa forgot to open serm/setup.php and follow the install guide (where you copy paste code).

Works like... - 10-10-2007, 12:21 PM

I have now tested this module and I'm going to use it in our eSupport system. I'm just hoping that programmers in Kayako will consider of using this module as some kind of base module in future releases. This saves a lot of work as not having to play with template groups.

So thanks again sheep

Hello brendan,

i'm sorry but it seems like that your kayako's licence doesn't fit the requirements (Quote from first post):

Quote:
Requirement
Kayako Supportsuite (or eSupport) 3.10.02 or 3.11.0 Owned License
The owned licence grants you access to kayako's source code (and it's required for SERM).

Greetings,
Antoine

Antoine's mod sounds incredibly useful in avoiding a proliferation of template groups. I'm very tempted to try it out. I have multiple sites, each of which can be served by a template group; however, within each site I have normal staff user groups who should be restricted from seeing items in more technical categories.

Jamie, do the core developers have any plans to adapt this approach to the KB, TS, and DL modules in future releases?

Still seems to work in 3.11.02. The man's a genius!

Just be sure you have some permissions assigned to your user before you go clicking the Knowledgebase or Download widgets. You might get a blank page, like I did.

You may also want to set allow_call_time_pass_reference = On in your php.ini, if you are using PHP5.

And be sure you've applied Antoine's 'patch' described below. It's a pain, but if you don't make the replacements you'll have problems in the backend. (That almost sounds like a double entendre, doesn't it? I'm staying up too late these days.)

Well.... .02 means that it's a minor release. It's just "luck" that kayako's didn't change anything impacting SERM Anyway, serm has been done in a way that it doesn't modify too much kayako's code, so this mod should be working for a while.

Anyway, please check the CRON at support.mydomain.tld/cron/ (check if there's no php fatal error) because Eona had a bug lately (just a problem with PATH: needed to remove a "..") and the cron didn't work anymore (i don't know if the bug is in the install guide or if it was just a typo).

Greetings,
Antoine

Hi,

I've got an owned license, but I could not get SERM to work. While installing, the creation of the 3 tables, altering several tables goes well. But then op button "...redirecting" appaers, and after that the only option that I get is "install" again.

When I tried to install again, I get the message "failed" because my tables already exists...

Anybody any idea ???

Thanks in advance,

Vincent

Quote:
Installation Guide
Download the archive (see attachment)
Extract all files in the module folder (you should get folders like this: modules/serm/*.php - 5 files)
Follow the guide in setup.php (comments at the beginning)
Go to http://mysite.domain/support/setup/
Click on modify
Go to the last step and click on Install (in the SERM line)
Have you done this part?

Yep, I've done that... After doing that for the second time, that's when the "install" buttons generates the failed error, because the tables already exists.

p.s.
Thanks for the quick reaction, hope that you have a solution for me...

Delete the tables in your database then (they're called serm_*) That should fix the install process.
