3.04.10 predefined reply, kb menu is broken - 13-10-2006, 02:52 PM

Is it just me.... I just upgraded to 3.04 and now the predefined replies when replying to a ticket doesn't show the drop down / menu to select them. In other words it plain doesn't work.

Does anyone experience the same problem?

Hi,

Did you overwrite all files or rename the old install dir and upload to a fresh directory and run the upgrade?

If you did the latter did you keep a copy of the old files directory?

I renamed the old dir, and uploaded a fresh directory and ran the upgrade. The only thing I copied back were the key.php and config.php

Found the problem. I need to insert a predefined reply then deleted it again. This would cause esupport to recreate the JS cache needed to populate the menu.

The same is done to knowledgebase

I would suggest that this should be done as part of the upgrade process to avoid such issue. Could someone with the bugtracker user account post this? Thanks

The other way around it would be to keep your files direcotry from previous builds as the JS is created and stored in there along with files from the downloads section if in use.
